South Dakota State University’s Ad Club are National Finalists



      South Dakota State University’s Ad Club has created a great commercial that has made them national finalists. SDSU's Ad Club participated in a national commercial contest for 5-Hour Energy®. This group including: Tyler Bitner, Stephen Brua, Brandon DeBoer, Travis Entenman, Alex Johnson, Ben Lippert, Tiffany Oliver,Meghann Rise, Brie Rogers, Samantha Stratman, and Catey Watkins.             The group heard about the content and began working on concepts quickly since they had little time before the deadline, which was Feb. 12 2010.  Beginning with about 50 ideas, they slowly whittled the number down to about ten, which were more manageable. When choosing an ad, the group members strived to be creative but kept in mind budgets and personal abilities. The competition provided some insight into what 5-Hour Energy® was looking for within the entries. Since many of the students hadn't had much real life experience working with a client they were enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn and stretch their creative legs.  
 Although the number of total entries in the contest is unknown, one thing is for sure—SDSU’s Ad Club is one of six finalist chosen for voting. The winner will be announced April 15. Check out the other finalists and vote for SDSU's Ad Club commercial! If the group wins, they will receive $5,555 for SDSU, another $5,555 for their club as well as 5-hour energy drink for themselves and (with permission of the school) for  the SDSU campus!
