New Business Entering the Market

Sara Parker is beginning a new business in the Sioux Falls market called Perceptive Media and Marketing. Her new business is bringing her new challenges as she works to build a client base to provide media placement and marketing consultations. Sara has seven years previous experience in the agency media buying market and feels at this point she is confident enough to move on to her own endeavor in the business world and provide a new brand of media services in the Sioux Falls area.
“My goal is to secure a selective group of clients and help them reach their marketing objectives. I hope to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships,” Sara says.

Perceptive Media and Marketing specializes in media placement and marketing consultation for businesses and organizations that may not have the need or the budget to work with a larger advertising agency. The company is experienced in retail, medical, financial, political (both candidate and issue), government, non-profit, tourism and business-to-business advertising.

Sara says she is currently focused on identifying and building relationships with prospective clients. She is also working with a few smaller advertising agencies in a media consultant and buyer role. She is enjoying the process of starting her own business. She says, “It’s been a very rewarding and exciting process!”

Sara has some advice for student’s getting ready to graduate and join the business world, “Focus on what you can provide your prospective employers, not on what you want from them. Networking and becoming involved in the community you want to work in is also very important.”

Sara, we wish you the best with your new business and thank you for taking the time to tell Midwest Media Montage about your work experience, your new adventure and giving us some advice as we are about to graduate and join you in the market.

The website is currently not available but there is promise of it coming soon. For future reference: http://www.perceptivemedia.net/

Sara's media career is extensive. She was the Director of Media Services at Media One, the Director of Marketing at the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum of Natural History, and a Media Buyer/Planner at Lawrence and Schiller.
