On top of a unique website, Twitter feed, and podcasts, Fresh Produce sponsors an awesome blog titled Graphic Content.
Graphic Content claims itself to be “the best art/design/illustration blog in all of south eastern South Dakota.” The blog highlights any type of art and design, created and submitted by whoever wants to get their name out there. All you need to do is e-mail a JPG image formatted for the web to andrew@pickfresh.com or kiel@pickfresh.com.
A recent post, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” caught my eye. It talks about Battle for the Arts, which is a contest between two different artists every Thursday night, 9:00 p.m., at Club David in Sioux Falls. The artists have only 30 minutes, a marker, and a 4’ x 4’ canvas to show what they’ve got. When they are finished, the audience judges who is the winner.This blog is a great way for new and upcoming artists to show their work to the world and get feedback on what they have done so far.
The launch of Fresh Produce’s new website (it really is amazing), along with many other events and designs, are also discussed in the blog.
